生活美語《“Something old, something new...”》

生活美語《“Something old, something new...”》

Something old, something new...

Virginia:Didn't Chloe look gorgeous as she walked down the aisle on her father's arm.
Gordon:Yes, I must say she did. But he really looked nervous.
Virginia:Well, she's his only daughter, so it was his one and only time. He didn't want anything to go wrong.
Gordon:Her dress was certainly beautiful but a bit old-fashioned. It looked exactly like the one my mother is wearing in her wedding photograph.
Virginia:You don't know anything do you. That was Chloe's mother's wedding dress. She's been keeping it for her daughter all these years.
Gordon:Why would she do that?
Virginia:Typical male ignorance. "Something old, something new..." of course.

Didn't Chloe look gorgeous as she walked down the aisle on her father's arm。 I saw him in the street with a girl on his arm(我在街上看見他,身邊有個女郎,挽著他的手)。
(1) Is the aisle wide enough for a wheelchair?(座席中間的通道,其寬可容輪椅走過嗎?)(2) I stood admiring the peacock's gorgeous tail(我站著欣賞孔雀斑斕的尾巴)。
Something old, something new / Something borrowed, something blue / And a silver sixpence in her shoe(有舊,有新;有借來的,有藍色的;還有一枚六便士銀幣在她鞋子裡)。
